Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

How we handle health-related information on GoMyCoach. Written for the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370 and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act – and applied to everyone in the United States. Last updated October 26, 2026.

The short version

  • GoMyCoach is a marketplace for coaching and consulting. We do not provide health care and we do not ask for health information.
  • Health-related information reaches us only if you choose to share it – in a message to a Coach/Consultant, in a review, or when a Coach/Consultant chooses a wellness-related category or describes their services.
  • We use it only to run the Service (show messages, handle a reported problem, keep records the law requires). We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising and do not build health profiles.
  • You can ask what we hold about you, have it deleted, and withdraw consent – free of charge, within 45 days.

1. Who this policy is for

This policy is part of our Privacy Policy. It adds the information that the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373), Nevada SB 370 and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act require for “consumer health data”. We apply it to every user in the United States, not only to residents of these states. GoMyCoach LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, is the “regulated entity” responsible for this data.

2. What counts as consumer health data here

“Consumer health data” is personal information that is linked to you and that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status. On GoMyCoach this can be, for example:

  • something you write in a message, a booking note or a review about your health, body, weight, diet, fitness level, injuries, mood, stress, sleep, pregnancy or a condition;
  • the fact that you booked a session in a wellness-related category (for example Healthy Habits & Lifestyle, Nutrition, Fitness, Women's Wellness, Mindset & Motivation), where that fact could suggest something about your health;
  • for Coaches/Consultants: a nutrition license, or wording in a profile that describes health-related services.

Information that only identifies you as a person – name, email, ZIP code, payment records – is not consumer health data; it is covered by our general Privacy Policy.

3. What we collect, and from where

  • Only from you, only if you choose to. We do not ask for health information in sign-up, booking or payment forms. We do not infer health information from your behaviour, and we do not buy health data from anyone.
  • Messages, booking notes, reviews. Whatever you write is stored so that the other side and you can read it. We do not scan messages to extract health information; automated filters look only for spam, contact details and abuse.
  • Bookings. We store which offer and category you booked, with whom and when – that is needed to run the booking and the payment.
  • Coach/Consultant profiles. Categories, descriptions and nutrition license details that the Coach/Consultant enters.
  • No precise location. We never collect precise geolocation. A ZIP code or city is used to show in-person offers near you; we do not use it to infer that you visited a health facility or any other place.

4. Why we use it

  • to deliver messages, bookings, reminders and reviews between you and the Coach/Consultant;
  • to look into a problem you or the Coach/Consultant reported, or a payment dispute, when you asked us to or the law requires it;
  • to keep the Service safe and enforce our Terms, for example when a conversation is reported;
  • to keep records we must keep by law (for example payment and tax records – these do not contain the content of your messages).

These uses are necessary to provide the Service you asked for. Where consent is required, your decision to share the information with a Coach/Consultant is that consent, and you can withdraw it (section 8).

5. Who it is shared with

  • The Coach/Consultant you write to or book. They see your messages, booking notes and reviews. Section 7 says what they may do with it.
  • Our processors, who store or transmit data for us under contracts that forbid any other use: Supabase (database and file storage, United States), Cloudflare (hosting and network), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments – Stripe receives booking titles and amounts, never message contents). Full list in the Privacy Policy.
  • Authorities or courts, only when the law requires it.

We do not share consumer health data with advertising networks, data brokers or analytics providers. The Meta Pixel on gomycoach.com (only with your consent) sees that a browser visited our landing page – never account data, bookings or messages, and never anything from the GoMyCoach app or your account area.

6. What we do not do

  • We do not sell consumer health data, and we will not ask you for a “valid authorization” to sell it.
  • We do not use it for advertising or for building profiles about your health.
  • We do not set up geofences around health facilities or anywhere else.
  • We do not discriminate against you for using your rights under this policy.

7. Coaches/Consultants and your health information

Coaches/Consultants are independent businesses. What you tell them is shared with them by you. Under our Terms of Service, a Coach/Consultant may use what you write only to prepare and provide your sessions. They may not use it for marketing, may not contact you outside GoMyCoach without your consent, and may not pass it on to anyone else. Coaches/Consultants who provide licensed services are also bound by the rules of their profession. If you believe a Coach/Consultant has misused your information, tell us at [email protected].

Please share only what the Coach/Consultant needs for your sessions. GoMyCoach is not a health care provider, sessions are not medical treatment, and messages on GoMyCoach are not protected health information under HIPAA.

8. Your rights

  • Know and access: whether we hold consumer health data about you, which data, and with whom we shared it (the Coach/Consultant and the processors above).
  • Delete: have it deleted, including from our backups within the next backup cycle and from our processors. A Coach/Consultant may keep a copy of what you sent them, as any other recipient of a message would; we tell them about your deletion request when the law requires it.
  • Withdraw consent: stop sharing with a Coach/Consultant at any time by not writing to them further; you can also block them. Withdrawing does not undo what they already received.
  • No retaliation: using these rights does not change your price, your access or how we treat you.

9. How to use your rights

Email [email protected] from the address of your account, or delete your whole account under “Delete my account” in your settings (this removes your messages, bookings and profile as described in the Privacy Policy). We answer within 45 days; if a request is complex, we may take another 45 days and will tell you why. Requests are free, unless they are clearly repetitive or unfounded. We verify that it is you by matching the email address and, if needed, details of your account. If we refuse a request, we tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal”; we answer the appeal within 45 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the attorney general of your state (for Washington: atg.wa.gov; Connecticut: portal.ct.gov/ag; Nevada: ag.nv.gov).

10. Changes

We will post changes here with a new date. If a change is material – for example a new way of using or sharing consumer health data – we will tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
